How I Became A Poet

How I became a poet started by chance

I happened to look at poetry at a glance

Now I’m hooked on compiling words and

Rhyming is by no means a blur.

Couplets and quadrants go hand in hand

I’d rather write poems than join a brass

Band.

Composing words makes life so grand

And seeing my work in print is like living

in another land.
