They couldn’t come today; they were called away
And anyway, it wasn’t them who caused the affray
That night they drifted away – it was that man in
Black – he’d be the type that would cause a fight in
An empty house, and could be very good at scaring
Away anyone who got in his way. Best to avoid him,
That was what people used to say. But who was he?
That is what I would like to know, but with him wearing
Black, he had the knack of hiding away – and guess
What? Nobody knew who he was, even to this day!
