The day that the rains came
Life didn’t seem the same.
The rains stayed for weeks,
Making me feel down; with
It pouring heavy it was a wonder
I didn’t drown.
When the rain stopped, the sun
Came and life was no longer in
Vain, unless we had more rain.
With the rainy season over, we ‘d have
to wait again – at least until October,
But by then I’ll be miles away, bathing
In the sun, making life feel like so much
fun!
