Lonely Night

I was taking a long journey on a lonely night – so alone even the

the moon wasn’t in sight – just the stars that hovered above,

wondering what it was like to be in love.

As my journey ended, I fell to my knees, then as I looked up

In the sky, I thought I saw Mars or was it Venus, Jupiter

or Saturn? But for all I knew, it could have been Manhatten

Then, as I opened my eyes I felt a tap on my shoulder;

Silly me, I found out that I had tripped over a boulder.
